EON and MGM broke cover today to announce that the as-yet untitled twenty fifth 007 adventure (which they’re calling Bond 25 for short) will hit US cinemas on November 8, 2019. The film will open in the UK and Europe earlier, as is traditional with the franchise but no specific dates being mentioned as yet. Bond 25 will be written by Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, long time collaborators and writers on previous Bond films including Casino Royale, Quantum Of Solace, Skyfall and Spectre. The film will of course be produced by long-time Bond duo Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli. No news yet who’ll be in the director’s chair when the film eventually goes into production or any confirmation (or otherwise) if Daniel Craig will indeed return as the titular hero.
N.B. Prepare yourself for the inevitable tsunami of Bond-related pun headlines as the news hits the net.
